Personalize Your Product

I made these cards after watching my daughter learn her letters. She loved matching, big bright pictures, and our three dogs. Letters shown out of order helped her recognize each one on its own instead of just singing the song. So we built a screen-free alphabet game around all of it. 55 cards total, a matching pair for every letter A to Z, a counting pair starring mixed breed pups, and an instruction card.

Each card pairs a letter with an illustrated breed, from Australian Shepherd to Zuchon. Shuffle them, flip them, and find the match.

What's in the box

  • 54 matching cards
  • 52 alphabet cards (two for every letter A to Z)
  • 2 counting cards with ten mixed breed dogs, because mutts belong here too
  • 1 instructions card with three ways to play (55 cards total)
  • A sturdy two-piece box that keeps the set together

What your toddler learns

  • Letter recognition: shuffled cards teach each letter out of order, not just the song
  • Matching and memory: start with 4 to 6 pairs and build up to all 26
  • Counting to 10: with the mixed breed counting cards
  • Dog breed names: 26 of them, learned right alongside the letters

Ways to play

Matching Game

  1. Start small. Pick 4 to 6 matching pairs and lay them face down.
  2. Take turns flipping two cards to find a match.
  3. Found one? Keep the pair and say the letter out loud, or count the numbers if you land the bonus card.
  4. No match? Flip both back and try again.
  5. Add more pairs as your toddler gets the hang of it, working up to all 26 letters plus the bonus number card.

Find the Letter

Spread the cards face up. Call out a letter and see if your toddler can find it.

Count Together

Grab the number card. Point to each number and count the dog breeds out loud together, or call out a number and see if your toddler can find it.

Match & Slap

Shuffle and stack all the cards in one pile face down. Take turns calling out a letter or number. Flip cards one at a time into a shared pile. When it turns up, everyone slaps the pile. The fastest hand keeps the card. No penalty for a wrong slap; this one’s just for fun.

More Than Flash Cards

I've watched my daughter learn her letters by sorting and shuffling these cards herself, not just singing the alphabet song. That's the whole idea behind this game.

Real letter recognition.

Shuffle the cards or sort them however you want. Your toddler learns to know each letter on its own, not just recite them in order.

Matching, memory, and color skills.

Every game round asks your toddler to find the pair, remember where cards are, and match colors and illustrations.

Rounded corners, tested for ages 3 and up.

Sized and built for small hands to hold, sort, and carry around on their own.

Every dog gets included, mutts too.

A bonus counting card features ten mixed breed dogs, so your toddler learns to count to 10 too.

Frequently asked questions

What ages is this for?

Ages 3 and up. The cards have rounded corners and are sized for small hands to hold, sort, and carry around on their own.

What's included in the set?

Matching pairs for every letter, A to Z, each featuring a different illustrated dog breed. There's also a bonus counting card with ten mixed breed dogs, so mutts get included too and your toddler gets some counting practice along the way.

What does it actually teach?

Real letter recognition, not just reciting the alphabet song. Shuffling and sorting the cards helps your toddler learn to know each letter on its own. It also builds matching, memory, and color skills, plus counting to 10 with the bonus card

Will there be more sets like this?

Yes. This is the first of several illustrated kids' products I'm working on this year, including a new toddler book and kids' room art. Sign up above and I'll keep you posted as each one launches.
